The Summary
Miss. Peregrin's Home For Peculiar Children is about a 16 year boy named Jacob Portman. His life is surrounded by his grandfather and his stories. His grandfather (Abe Portman) told Jacob stories that seemed fake and came from a fable, although throughout the book he finds out that the stories were all true and part of his grandfathers life. While Jacob was at his grandfathers house he goes outside to find his grandfather being attacked by a mythical beast. Jacob and his father go to Wales so that Jacob can find the truth and past about his grandfather. When he finds the house where his grandfather and other peculiar children stayed he stumbles upon Emma and the loop. All peculiars have powers, Emma can control fire with her hands, another peculiar named Millard is invisible. Emma takes Jacob to Ms. Peregrine in the loop that sets everything back to the 3rd of September in the year 1940. Ms.Peregrine, and other peculiars help Jacob find out the past of his grandfather since they all knew him. Jacob enjoys staying with the peculiar children and finds out he has his own power. Jacobs power is he can see hollows, no one else can see them, towards the end of the book Jacob kills one of these hollows. The choice that Jacob has at the end of the book is to stay with the peculiars or go home with his father.
